Ally and Thea are more than just names...they are works of art!
Jacinta Sue, the designer of JK Designs has been creating since she was a little girl. She began to get more serious about drawing in high school. Drawing was her hobby, a form of self-expression, and something she preferred to keep to herself. It is only recent that she hasd up her little book of drawings and sketches to create t-shirts to share with the world—and we are so glad she did!
All of Jacinta’s designs (more specifically the artwork) are original. Some of the tees have embellishments like sequins, beads, and crystals to give the design a little extra texture and sparkle. She designs her tees referring to her few core values: comfort, originality, and affordability, and believe us, it shows!
When asked about her inspiration for her designs, she referred to her great-grandmother who nurtured her creative spirit and encouraged her to follow her dreams. Jacinta’s drawings reflect many of the things she loves and cherishes…her great-grandmother cherished many of those same things.
One of our favorite designs is Jewel, from the Ally collection. Top notch embroidery inside the body of the kitty, and the feathers and pink beaded detail to highlight her accessories takes this piece from adorable tee to wearable art! It is purr-fect for spring; wear it with your hottest colors, blues, pinks, and yellows!
Jacinta has brilliantly combined springtime hues to formulate her amazing butterfly tee from her Thea collection. Her words, “Thea is about…a remembrance of past joys, memories of beautiful things, bold colors, flowery patterns, shiny things, and simple prints. It’s all about imagination, inspiration, and all dedicated in memory to my great-grandma who made my tiny corner in this big world a fascinating place to be.”
