Allison Acoba, founder and designer, knew from a young age that she would lead an artistic life. She never dreamed her Nova Flora collection would take off the way it has! Allison graduated from Otis College of Art & Design in Los Angleles, and quickly found success as an illustrator. Moving into other creative areas after a few years, she also worked in television and for one of Beverly Hills’ most elite jewelry designers.
After having her first child, like many new mothers, Allison switched gears and began to contemplate a home-based business; and in 2003 she founded Nova Flora bringing all her talent and experience in illustration to her new business.
“I find inspiration in many places—books of botanical prints, magazines, the natural world itself. Even feelings can influence an artist. One day one color might express your mood, the next day another. I try to be asas possible to all inspirations.”
