A U.S. Army veteran turned work-at-home-mom, Batiste had always had a great love for people and writing. Batiste graduated from Colorado State University in 2002 with a B.A. in Psychology and in 2004 received a Master of Science from Troy State University. She started a jewelry design site called Mia's Treasure in 2004, and just a few months later launched Lifestyle Daily in hopes to reach women everywhere, and "really touch these women with subjects that really matter to them."
